Ka Tunying's Tagaytay is a full-service Filipino restaurant nestled in Vista Point, Tagaytay City, offering diners a relaxed spot to enjoy traditional flavors without straining the budget typical of this popular highland destination. Unlike many places in Tagaytay known for premium pricing, Ka Tunying’s presents a balance of hearty, home-style Filipino cooking with generous portions that comfortably feed groups and families, a factor that shines through in their group and party packages.

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with staff who make it clear that hospitality matters here. Visitors often comment on the attentive service and how the team regularly checks in, creating an easygoing, unhurried vibe perfect for lingering over a meal. The location itself gives diners a pleasant setting with views of Taal Lake, adding a natural backdrop ideal for day trips or weekend getaways.

Ka Tunying’s menus bite into traditional Filipino staples that highlight both mainstays and crowd-pleasers. The tapsilog breakfast option, classic kare-kare, and herb roasted chicken are popular picks, especially the latter which has been noted for its flavorful, aromatic herbs and tender meat. Tinapa rolls and unique items like cheese macapuno cake add a bit of variety for those looking to sample something beyond the usual. Desserts, including egg pie and cakes, come as a nice surprise alongside meals, rounding out the experience with a sweet finish.

This restaurant is especially suitable for groups or families who want a fuss-free meal with familiar Filipino tastes, and those who appreciate a scenic, unpretentious dining environment. While it can get busy during holidays or weekends, the generally affordable pricing and sizable portions make the wait worthwhile.

Parking is available on-site, which adds convenience often missing in Tagaytay’s busy spots. Early afternoons or midday visits might offer a quieter environment to soak in the views and savor your meal without the holiday crowds. For visitors keen to pair local Filipino dishes with a view and pleasant service, Ka Tunying’s stands as a solid choice that balances accessibility with Tagaytay’s country charm.

The ambience of the place is pleasant, and the staff was pleasing. Its also a plus if you want to enjoy their bakery and gourmet products. For its location in Tagaytay, i find it more affordable compared to the restaurants in the area so im glad I was able to find this place. We ordered the group meal, and I personally liked the herb roasted chicken. It came with a free slice of dessert too.

The customer service was great. We felt welcomed as soon as we entered the restaurant. The waiter was very helpful and friendly, and they even checked on us regularly. The prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants. I will definitely come back here again.

We waited around an hour since it was the holiday season, but the food was totally worth it. I think their prices are pretty affordable, especially the Bulalo that’s good for 2-4 people compared to other places. Malasa and malambot yung meat. To me, the Mango Madness is just an ordinary mango drink. It would be better if they added real mango bits for extra juiciness. They have free parking for both cars and motorcycles, which is a big plus. They also have plenty of pasalubongs.

I heard some good reviews about ka tunying restaurant. All I can say was hands up about their food and the serving portion was good for sharing. Customer service was excellent, also they check if we need anything. Bonus the view of taal. Next time I will try their pastry and coffee.

The food was incredibly good and truly satisfying. The location offers a beautiful view of Taal Lake, which made it an even better spot to enjoy. Justin was very kind and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay.

A perfect place for a peaceful and calm dining experience. There was a superb view of the Taal lake, the staff were very proactive. Apart from the food being delicious, the servings were perfect for their price. Ohh. And the comfort room was clean(which is heartbreakingly rare even in expensive restaurants these days). A gem in Tagaytay indeed.

[August 2025] This Ka Tunying's branch is located in a small hub containing small restaurants, sharing one general public parking space. We went during weekdays so there weren't any wait time nor a packed parking. I have to say, I'm surprised with the quantity and quality of the food. I think a single viand would be more than enough for a solo (and non-heavy) eater. There were also unique flavors in their beverages which I was able to try.
